Mirko Guido

Born 1981 in Italy, Mirko trained at the Schweizerische Ballet Berufsschule under the direction of Oliver Mats, and at L'Ecole-Atelier Rudra-Béjart in Lausanne, Switzerland with Michel Gascard. Mirko has danced with Thoss Dance Company, Donlon Dance Company, Tanz Theater Bielefeld, Theater Hagen, and Rudra Béjart Junior Company. He has perfomed in many works by several choreographers such as Lightfoot/Leon, Stephan Toss, Itzik Galili, Maurice Béjart, Martha Graham, Carolyn Carlson, Marguerite Donlon, Martino Müller, Rafael Bonachela, Marco Goecke, Karine Guizzo and Jo Strömgren among others. 2008-2009 the Donlon Dance Company performed two of Mirko Guido’s works, and 2010, Thoss Dance Company presents his piece ”unwritten…”. 2008, Mirko was nominated as ”Young choreographer to watch” by the Ballet-Tanz yearbook. The same year he won the first prize and the audience prize for his choreography Tra me e se, Forse at the International Competition for Choreographers in Hannover. Mirko joined Cullberg Ballet autumn 2010.
