Csongor Szabó

Born in Hungary in 1981, Csongor trained at the Ballet Secondary School of Arts in Györ and at the Academy of Film and Dramatic Arts in Budapest with a major in choreography. For three years he danced with PR-Evolution Dance Company under the direction of Attila Kun, performing in works by Kun and Jeremy James. Csongor has also worked with choreographers such as Lea Anderson, Klári Pataky, Éva Duda and Réka Szabó, among others. For the past three years, Csongor has danced with Danish Dance Theatre in works by Tim Rushton, Adi Salant and Tina Tarpgaard among others. Since the beginning of his career, Csongor has been given several awards, among them the Hungarian state scholarship for young dancers and the Prize of Budapest City for his contribution to the contemporary dance. Csongor came to Cullberg Ballet autumn 2010.
