Teaching the Teachers
Choreographers and dance teachers educate each other in Stockholm

Teaching the Teachers is an activity within the frame of the network Jardin d'Europe aimed at fostering the development of new teaching methods in the field of contemporary dance.

It was organized in Stockholm 1-6 March 2010 by Cullberg Ballet in collaboration with the University of Dance and Circus under the thematic question "What does a dancer need to know?"

Participants were Cristina Caprioli (SE), Rasmus Ölme (SE), Kristine Slettevold (SE), Sven-Olov Wallenstein (SE), Jeremy Nelson (US), Jan Ritsema (NL), Libby Farr (US) and Benoît Lachambre (CAN).

The program included closed seminars for the participants, open workshops with Libby Farr and Benoît Lachambre, a presentation of PerformingArtsForum with Jan Ritsema as well as a panel discussion about the Teaching the Teachers process moderated by Efva Lilja, Head of the University of Dance and Circus.

Cullberg Ballet will organize Teaching the Teachers again during 2012.
